Larisa Dolina took the stage for the first time after Polina Lurye's court victory – and was booed.

Larisa Dolina appeared on stage for the first time since Polina Lurye's court victory. The 70-year-old singer performed at the "Christmas with Grigory Leps" concert, but the audience didn't appreciate her appearance.
Dolina walked out to the audience in a form-fitting silver dress to barely audible applause and whistles. "Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays!" the singer said after her song and disappeared backstage. The audience was silent at that moment.
The public's outrage was sparked by the recent court case between Larisa Dolina and Polina Lurye, the buyer of her Moscow apartment, which she won. Last year, Dolina admitted to selling her Khamovniki apartment to Polina Lurye for 112 million rubles and handing the proceeds over to fraudsters. In total, she handed over approximately 180 million rubles to the criminals. Realizing what had happened, Dolina filed a lawsuit, which returned the property to her, leaving Lurye without the apartment or the money.
Following this, similar cases of apartments being returned to their owners months or even years after the sale began to appear across the country, and the phenomenon became known as "the effect" or "Dolina's scheme." On social media, calls were made for the singer to be "cancelled," even some of her colleagues spoke out against her, and the International Bar Association sided with Lurye. The "Dolina scheme" was called the most negative event of 2025, and has already become a meme. The story received such widespread attention that it even featured in an article in the American magazine Vanity Fair. Dolina's concerts are now being cancelled in some cities across the country due to low ticket sales.
