The young leads in the new Harry Potter series walked the red carpet for the first time.

The young actors who play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in the new film adaptation of "Harry Potter," made their first official public appearance together. It took place at the launch party for HBO Max in the UK and Ireland in London.
Dominic McLaughlin, 12, who plays "The Boy Who Lived" in the series, Arabella Stanton, 11, and Alastair Stout, 11, posed for photographs together.
The emergence of these future stars is now being discussed online: users note that the young actors resemble their colleagues from the original film about the boy wizard, and also express hope that the "cruel" world of show business will not break them in the future.
"They look sweet and happy. I hope their parents and the adults around them continue to protect them throughout this journey," "They are so tiny! They remind me so much of the original cast. Dominic has the same look that Daniel (Daniel Radcliffe, the first actor to play Harry Potter. - Ed.) had as a child," "Honestly, the memories of the original actors about working on Harry Potter comfort me: they do not regret it. I hope these three feel the same," write Reddit users.
The first teaser trailer for the series was previously released online. The first season of the HBO series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, will premiere on December 25, 2026 (Christmas Day) on the Max streaming service and will consist of eight episodes. Author of the original book series, J.K. Rowling, is involved in the project as an executive producer, but the show has already been embroiled in controversy. The casting of Black actor Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape has received criticism online, with Essiedu himself claiming to have received death threats over the role.
It's worth noting that the original "golden trio" of the Potter films fared well: all three remained in the industry, but chose different paths. Daniel Radcliffe became a versatile actor in independent film and theater, Emma Watson combined film with activism and studies (and recently sparked rumors of an engagement to the heir of one of Mexico's wealthiest families). Rupert Grint found his niche in character roles on TV and in thrillers.
