"Meat for the ****." The editor-in-chief of a Russian cultural media outlet was fired after his comments about women.

Alexey E. (last name withheld), former editor-in-chief of the Telegram cultural media outlet "A!", is being "canceled" online for his comments about women. For example, in his personal Threads* blog, he called women "sex fodder": "Does it also irritate you when sex fodder starts asking, 'What are we to each other?'"
The post sparked a furious reaction on social media, with over 500 negative comments. Subsequently, reposts quoting the statement garnered more likes than the original. Many media outlets also covered the high-profile case. Users condemned the offensive statement en masse, deeming it unacceptable to speak about women in such a manner.
Some claimed to have sent a screenshot of his words to Alexey's management. The next day, it was announced that A! media had terminated its partnership with the former editor-in-chief.
On its Telegram channel, the publication "A!", which positions itself as a "media outlet about contemporary culture," posted the following: "We sincerely apologize for the statements made by one of our media outlet's employees on his personal Threads*. They are unacceptable and do not reflect the values of our team. We have decided to cease working with him. For our part, our media outlet will also donate to a women's crisis center. Once again, we offer our sincere apologies. Team "A!"
The situation quickly became a viral sensation online. "Nothing new, a man just opened his mouth," "Now some people won't see a living without work for a long time," "And then they said not all men are created equal," "Why did they think it was about women? You never know...," "Why did they cover up his face? The internet should know its heroes," indignant users wrote.
The Telegram channel "Beware, News" reports that the fired editor-in-chief had previously posted provocative comments on social media, such as: "Millennials, please leave the internet, it's not for you anymore." On one social media account, he claimed to be an SMM manager with over four years of experience; after the scandal, all his accounts were deleted.
